If you find a mysterious Earth-Like Planet, would it be right to try and land on it out of curiosity?

I think we should try to contact them first, some kind of universal sign to let them know they are not alone, but i agree with you landing and just uming that we can take over is a bad idea. They may be stronger than us, know of us and have let us alone if we come they may see it as a attack and then...no more earth. Or if they are a weaker peaceful planet you are right again it would be like Europeans bringing diseases all over again, plus what if they have some that we cannot fight off...i say procede with caution. Be respectful to them, work out a way to communicate and get permission before landing
