How can i get my computer too work?

ok so my computer was working fine untill i decided too buy a graphics card for it , it was running on the chipset before the new card but now after the bios menu pops up its just gives no signal too the comp. Friends sugested it wasent getting enough power from the psu so i upgraded that and still nothing , so now im on to buying a new motherboard , any sugestions too what may be wrong with is before i waste even more money? Also it was sugested too me to try it on a pc monitor rather than my tv/monitor but still the same problem , the bios menu also seems too be dated from others E.G i put the webcam on my laptop faceing my tv screen too show a friend the bios and he sed it was completly different too his , if any of you could help in this way i could do the same , Thanks Ollie , if any more info is needed just ask
